Athena Aktipis

Bio

Athena Aktipis is an evolutionary biologist and cooperation scientist who studies the fundamental principles of cooperation across scales - from cells to human communities to AI systems. She's a Professor at ASU, ranked in the top 1% of scientists worldwide. She is also the author of The Cheating Cell and A Field Guide to the Apocalypse, host of the Zombified podcast, and Founding Director of the Cooperative Futures Institute at ASU.
